So most of you that have lan'd with me know I"m a freak and I use a game pad to play FPS. I've always used the keyboard, but when the Nostromo N50 by belkin came out I was addicted. A few J5ers even got into it too. Well for a long time the N52 has been the device of choice but it's getting old and hard to find. Because of fan noises Belkin has decided to renew support for the device and has teamed with Razor to make the N52 tournament edition. You can read more about it here http://www.playtopwn.com I got to talk to some of the guys working on it over at the WSVG and it sounds awesome. One thing they are doing is having a contest. It's you tube video contest of you pwning with the n52 and if they like your vid they will send you a free N52TE. There are only like 10 videos up there now, and they are giving away 50 controllers so I think I win either way, but I thought since I put all this effort into the vid maybe you all would like to see it. Everyone else just put up videos of them in game playing, you don't even see the n52. I wanted to show the device since that's what we're trying to promote. Check it out, tell me what you think. Features in game footage from UT3, and music by rATatat and Dragon Force. \\m// ROCK!
Feel free to rate or comment, but as far as I can tell this has no bearing on the competition. It's all up to their judges.
What are the differences going to be between the new N52 and the old one, other than looking way cooler and all. Does the old one light us as well? Is it just a new look and better software? The new N52 will look cool with my keyboard that lights up blue already. If the old one does light up what color is it? The old one is still available on the market and is 20 bucks cheaper about. Never fear, Mobil is here!
The N52TE lights up, which mine doesn't. They redid all the buttons to help prevent sticking (which mine does after all the use it got) They replaced the scroll wheel with the same wheel thats in the Razor mice so it's super nice, and they updated the thumb DPad to make it easier to use. The also added the ability to store your profiles in the device cause it has memory in it. The worst thing was bringing it to a new PC and you wouldn't have all your profiles to make ti work. Now it's all held in the device itself.
